Call for Papers: Philosophy & Technology

Our special issue "The Ethics of Medical Artificial Intelligence: Trust and the Adoption of AI in Healthcare" is now open for submissions.

We invite contributions that scrutinize how trust is formed, sustained, or eroded in AI-mediated clinical practice, and how ethical, epistemic, organisational, and socio-technical factors shape adoption.

The Collection is edited in Philosophy & Technology (Springer) and welcomes papers from philosophy, ethics, STS, cognitive science, social sciences, law, and AI/medical domains.

If your work engages with medical AI, trust, explainability, governance, clinical validation, or responsible innovation, we would be delighted to consider your submission.

We look forward to your contributions and to advancing the debate on one of the most pressing issues in contemporary AI ethics.
