"ENVIRONMENT, TECHNOLOGY, SUBJECTIVITIES"

22-24 September 2021

From 22 to 24 September 2021 the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR, Brazil) will host the XIX International Congress of Philosophy on “Environment, Technology, Subjectivities”, organized by PUCPR’s Post-graduate Programme in Philosophy (PPGF).

Confirmed speakers: Ailton Krenak, Alejandro Bilbao (PUC-CHILE), Andrew Feenberg (Universidade Simon Fraser, Vancouver), Catherine Larrère (Paris I Panthon-Sorbonne), Christian Dunker (USP), Débora Danowski (PUC-RIO), Juan Manuel Aragüés (Universidad de Zaragoza), Patrice Vermeren (Paris 8), Paul Raphael Stadelhofer (Technishe Universität Dresden), Paula Sibilia (UFF), Peter Pál Pelbart (PUC-SP), Sandra Baquedano Jer (Universidad de Chile), Vladimir Safalle (USP).

The aim of the event, which will be held entirely on line, is to promote the debate on the relationship between environment, technology and subjectivities, in view of the understanding of ontological, epistemological, political, ethical and psychoanalytical issues related to the expansion of technological powers over the environment, as well as their impact on the formation of subjectivity. Occurring in Brazil during the Covid-19 pandemic, the congress endeavours to examine the relationship between the three abovementioned topics with the aim to envision new images of sustainable future on our planet.

Participation at the event is free of charge, but registration is required. Please, follow this link: XIX CONGRESSO INTERNACIONAL DE FILOSOFIA DA PUCPR.

Best wishes!

The Organising Committee.
