XIX INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF PHILOSOPHY @ PUCPR (Brazil)

From 22 to 24 September 2021 the Pontifícia Universidade Católica
do Paraná (PUCPR, Brazil) will host the XIX International Congress
of Philosophy on “Environment, Technology, Subjectivities”,
organized by PUCPR’s Post-graduate Programme in Philosophy (PPGF).

Andrew Feenberg (Universidade Simon Fraser, Vancouver), Catherine
Larrère (Paris I Panthon-Sorbonne), Christian Dunker (USP), Débora
Danowski (PUC-RIO), Juan Manuel Aragüés (Universidad de Zaragoza),
Patrice Vermeren (Paris 8), Paul Raphael Stadelhofer (Technishe
Universität Dresden), Paula Sibilia (UFF), Peter Pál Pelbart
(PUC-SP), Sandra Baquedano Jer (Universidad de Chile), Vladimir
Safalle (USP).
The aim of the event, which will be held entirely on line, is to
promote the debate on the relationship between environment,
technology and subjectivities, in view of the understanding of
ontological, epistemological, political, ethical and
psychoanalytical issues related to the expansion of technological
powers over the environment, as well as their impact on the
formation of subjectivity. Occurring in Brazil during the Covid-19
pandemic, the congress endeavours to examine the relationship
between the three abovementioned topics with the aim to envision
new images of sustainable future on our planet.
