The Logic Group of the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa) is pleased to announce the postgraduate Summer School “Perspectives on Research in Logic”, funded by the PNRR (Next Generation EU) within the MERITA project. The School will take place at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa from 18 to 20 June 2026.
The programme focuses on advanced topics in contemporary logic, ranging from proof theory to the semantics of non-classical logics, with special attention to both technical developments and their philosophical significance. The School aims to bring together PhD students and early-career researchers working in different areas of logic and to provide an overview of current research trends and debates in the field.
The Scuola Normale Superiore will award 15 scholarships, ensuring gender balance, covering accommodation and meals (travel expenses to Pisa are not included). Applicants must hold at least a Master’s degree in Logic or a related discipline. Applications (including an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae) must be submitted through the designated online form by 31 March 2026. Selection will be based on the evaluation of the submitted CV.
Candidates who are not awarded a scholarship are nevertheless welcome to attend the School. No participation fee is required.
