Intergenerational Cities – Navigating Urban Lifeworlds between Past and Future

We invite submissions for the poster session of the international symposium Intergenerational Cities: Navigating Urban Lifeworlds between Past and Future, which will take place from 25–28 February 2026 at Monte Verità (Ascona, Switzerland). This symposium is organized jointly by Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Husserl Archives Cologne, University of Cologne and Università di Pisa and explores urban environments through the transdisciplinary lens of intergenerationality. It addresses how people of all ages and abilities experience, navigate and co-create the spatial and cultural fabric of the city. Moving beyond isolated age-focused designs, we bring together diverse perspectives to shape inclusive, walkable and sustainable urban futures.

Posters will be presented in a dedicated session and will foster cross-disciplinary exchange among international participants and invited experts. Join us in shaping the conversation on cities that work with and for generational diversity. The poster sessions are an integral part of the symposium, which brings together numerous international experts.
