Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to share news of an upcoming interdisciplinary conference that may be of interest to members of the L-List.

The Mind-at-Large Project is a three-year, multidisciplinary inquiry into consciousness and its role in the nature of reality jointly organized by the University of Exeter, Deree-The American College of Greece, the Center for Process Studies and California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). The project, which is rooted in philosophy but reaches across the sciences, the arts and spiritual traditions, aims to challenge the prevailing assumption that mind is confined to human brains.

The first conference, “A New Dawn,” will be held online from April 15–17, 2026. The program will feature plenary lectures, emerging perspectives sessions and panel discussions, fostering both depth and sustained dialogue across disciplinary boundaries. Confirmed speakers include Iain McGilchrist, Freya Matthews, Edward Kelly, Phillip Goff and Susan Blackmore

Further details regarding speakers, registration and participation can be found at: https://ctr4process.org/conferences-new/mind-at-large-a-new-dawn/

We warmly invite you to join us for this first gathering and to share this announcement with colleagues and students who may be interested.

With best wishes,
Elly Vintiadis and the Mind-at-Large team
