REMINDER: CALL FOR PAPERS
Philosophy and Emotion Conference at Nottingham
We are pleased to announce the upcoming Philosophy and Emotion Conference at Nottingham, to be held on the
17th of April 2026 at University Park, Room A01 Humanities Building (from 10.00-17.00).
This event seeks to bring together philosophers and scholars who are interested in exploring the significance of emotion, both within philosophical enquiry and across a range of other disciplines. We invite submissions that cover a range of topics under the
broad umbrella of philosophy of emotion.
Topics
Topics may include, but are not limited to:

philosophical theories of emotion
-
emotion and ethics
-
emotion and epistemology
-
roles for emotion in social and political theories
-
emotion in psychology and mental health research.

Submission Guidelines
Abstracts of 250 should be submitted by 15 January 2026. Abstracts will be refereed by the organizing committee.
Contributing speakers will have slots of 60 minutes to divide, roughly equally, between presentation and discussion.
Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 28th February 2026.
We encourage submissions from early-career researchers and graduate students.
This event will conform to the BPA/SWIP Good Practice Scheme.
