Lina Pinto-García and Denielle Elliott, from the Connected Minds program at York University in Toronto, Canada, would like to share a call for applications for the interdisciplinary workshop Art and Brain Health, which will take place at the Botanical Garden of Medellín, Colombia, from August 12–14, 2026. The workshop is supported by Connected Minds.
The workshop places the arts at the center of its inquiry, bringing together artists, clinicians, and scholars to explore brain health not only as a biomedical condition but as a lived, creative, and relational experience. We are particularly interested in how artistic practices can expand and challenge clinical and scientific understandings of neurological conditions.
We are delighted to announce that the keynote speakers will be Fabio Rubiano and Hannah Star Rogers.
A dedicated website for the event will be launched soon, with more information and updates.
