CFP: International Society for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Biology Meeting in Buenos Aires, 18–23 July 2027
The International Society for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Biology (ISHPSSB, <https://ishpssb.org/>) invites submissions for its 2027 conference <https://congressin.com/e/ishpssb2027/>, which will be held on 18–23 July 2027 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The ISHPSSB brings together scholars from various disciplines, including history, philosophy, and social studies of biology as well as life scientists. The biennial meetings are known for innovative, disciplinary and transdisciplinary sessions, and for fostering informal, cooperative exchanges and ongoing collaborations. Diverse formats are encouraged, as well as traditional sessions, individual talks and posters. Some hybrid participation will be possible. The society is keen to receive submissions from historians (as well, of course, as philosophers, sociologists and anthropologists) of biology and biomedicine, broadly understood. The submission deadline is 15 October 2026, so we have the summer to plan our contributions to this exciting event in one of the great capitals of Latin America.
