Postdoc position in Mathematical or Philosophical Logic, University of
Warsaw, 3 years

The Faculty of Philosophy in Warsaw is offering a 3-year postdoc position in
the grant project 'Reflection principles and their epistemic warrants',
realized in cooperation with the University of Konstanz, Germany. We offer:

. Very interesting open research problems (of both philosophical and formal
nature).

. Membership in an internationally active and vibrant research team.

. Budget for conference travel and research visits.

. Budget for electronic equipment (laptop).



The applicants must meet the following requirements:

. hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the discipline of philosophy, logic,
or mathematics obtained no earlier than 12 years before the year of
employment in the project,

. being able to conduct advanced research in the field of formal philosophy,


. having a good basic grasp of one of the following fields of mathematical
logic: nonstandard models of arithmetic or set theory, proof theory, set
theory, probability theory,

. exhibit an advanced command of the English language, both written and
spoken, i.e., command of English at the level of C1 (Advanced) or C2
(Proficient) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for
Languages.


Deadline for application: 29 April 2026
Expected date of the commencement of work: July 2026 (subject to
negotiations).

Employment period: 36 months
