Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a Call for Papers for a Special Issue in New Ideas in Psychology entitled:
“Metaphor and Epistemic Injustice in Mental Illness: How Metaphorical Language Shapes Epistemic Practices in Mental Health Contexts.”
This Special Issue explores how metaphorical language shapes experiences, interpretations, and epistemic practices in mental health contexts, including issues of stigma, credibility, and epistemic injustice. We welcome theoretical, empirical, and applied contributions engaging with these themes.
Submissions from scholars working in psychology, philosophy, linguistics, cognitive science, psychiatry, sociology, medical humanities, and related fields are encouraged.
