we are very glad to announce the workshop “Abstraction, Structures and Proofs” that will take place at the Department of Philosophy – University of Vienna, Lecture Room 3D (D0316) 3rd floor at the, Universitätsstraße 7, 1010 Vienna, from 9th to 11th February.

This the first of a series of events jointly organised by the University of Wien (Ludovica Conti, Georg Schiemer) and the University of Tübingen (Antonio Piccolomini d'Aragona). More information can be found on the web-page of the project, available at this link:  https://sites.google.com/view/wientuebingen/wien .


The Workshop is organised by the following projects: ERC Project: “The Formal Turn - The Emergence of Formalism in Twentieth-Century Thought”, P.I. Georg Schiemer (University of Vienna); ESPRIT Program, Austrian Science Fund (FWF) DOI:10.55776/ESP210, “The logic of Abstraction”, P.I.  Ludovica Conti (University of Vienna), DFG project "Revolutions and paradigms in logic: the case of proof-theoretic semantics" PI 1965/1-1), P.I. Antonio Piccolomini d’Aragona (Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Center of the University of Tübingen).

The event is held under the auspices of the Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy - SIFA (https://sifaphilosophy.eu).

The workshop also received a financial support from Österreichische Forschungsgemeinschaft - ÖFG (program “Internationale Kommunikation”) and from the DLMPST - Division of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science and Technology.
