Deadline
for Submission: 15th October 2022
According to data from the Uppsala
Conflict Data Program and the Oslo Peace Research Institute,
there were at least 56 active armed conflicts in 2020, which
have cost the lives of at least 50,000 people in that year.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees estimates
that 82.4 million persons have been forcibly displaced in 2020
(of whom 35 million were children), and that this number has
again risen since then.
For this special issue on “Bioethics
Challenges in Times of War”, we invite research articles (of
up to 6,000 words) and case studies (of up to 3,000 words)
which discuss ethical and human rights challenges faced by
healthcare providers and policymakers in a context or as a
consequence of armed conflict (e.g., forced displacement)
