CALL FOR PAPERS
Dual workshop in
Logic and Metaphysics: themes from Graham Priest
15th and 17th of April 2025, University of Eastern Piedmont and University of Padua
The CALL FOR PAPERS to select speakers for the dual workshop Logic and Metaphysics: themes from Graham Priest is now open. The event as a whole consists of the mereological fusion of two distinct workshops: the first, focused on metaphysics, will take place at the University of Eastern Piedmont (Vercelli) on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, and the second, focused on logic and the philosophy of logic, will be held at the University of Padua (Padua) on Thursday, April 17. We welcome submissions in the fields of metaphysics, logic, and the philosophy of logic, provided they are related to one of the themes explored in Graham Priest’s work. Proposals in metaphysics will be selected for the first workshop, while proposals in logic and philosophy of logic will be considered for the second. Candidates must submit a short, anonymized abstract, between 500 and 1000 words (including footnotes and excluding bibliography), to dualwork...@gmail.com by Sunday, the 23rd of February. The results of the selection process will be announced no later than March 2. Please include your name and the title of your paper in the body of your email. Accepted papers will be given 30-minutes for presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A. Selected papers will be considered for publication in a volume or a journal special issue, curated by the event organizers and dedicated to the work of Graham Priest. The workshop will take place entirely in person.
