Dear colleagues,
please circulate this call to any students or recent graduates who may be interested in a PhD Program at the University of Bologna (Italy).
The PhD program in Philosophy, Science, Cognition and Semiotics (PSCS) aims to train researchers in Philosophy and Science Studies, Semiotics, and Cognitive Science, while also fostering interdisciplinary skills. Research will be carried out under two supervisors and will be complemented by participation in the program’s training activities, which include specialized seminars, reading groups, and a wide variety of graduate-level courses in English and Italian. The program also requires a research stay abroad (6 months) and encourages active participation in the international scientific community.
Deadline: 15 June 2026, 11:59 p.m. CEST
Start date: 1 November 2026
Duration: 3 years
