We are pleased to invite you to an international hybrid workshop on Political Philosophy of Technologies, organized by the Special Interest Group on Political Philosophy of Technology and Engineering, sponsored by the Society for Philosophy and Technology.
The workshop will take place on June 15, 2026, at 12:00 CET, with a keynote lecture will be delivered by Prof. Mathias Risse of Harvard University, titled:
“Political Theory of the Digital Age: Where Artificial Intelligence Might Take Us”
The workshop will be hosted by the African Centre for Epistemology and Philosophy of Science at the University of Johannesburg, with the option to participate online, bringing together scholars interested in the political, ethical, and philosophical dimensions of technology.
The event is organized by Paige Benton, Avigail Ferdman, Veli Mitova, and Michael W. Schmidt.
