Responsible Uses of Conversational Artificial Intelligence in Mental Healthcare
This webinar brings together philosophers, psychologists, and psychiatrists to discuss risks and opportunities of conversational artificial intelligence (CAI) systems designed to simulate human therapeutic dialogue to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions. CAI is increasingly utilized to scale clinical accessibility, challenge cognitive distortions, and provide real-time emotional coping mechanisms to clinical populations. Recent randomised clinical trials have shown that CAI tools can yield significant reductions in anxiety and depression, matching or exceeding typical therapy baselines.
