[EASST-Eurograd] Varieties of Science Europe: Winter School and Conference, November 09-13, 2026

Dear Colleagues, 

We are pleased to inform you that the call for papers for this year’s GWTF Annual Conference is now open. This conference is being held in collaboration with the Käte Hamburger Kolleg “Cultures of Research” in Aachen, Germany. The conference is scheduled for November 12 and 13, and the Winter School will take place from November 9–13, 2026. 

The topic is: “Varieties of Science and Technology in Europe: Shifting Fortunes of STS in Turbulent Times,” and it examines the roles and perspectives of STS in relation to their respective cultural and institutional contexts. Research on scientific careers will be of particular importance and will be the focus of the preceding Winter School. More details can be found in the Call for Papers. 

We look forward to receiving submissions by July 17. Please note: In individual cases, we may be able to provide a travel grant for participation in the Winter School. Please indicate your interest in such a grant when submitting your application.
