Dear prospective candidates,
The Deanship of Graduate Studies (PPG) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is pleased to announce the opening of the selection process for the Master’s Degree Program specifically designed for foreign students, as outlined in Call 01/2026.
The Graduate Program in Philosophy is among the participating fields in this initiative, which aims to enhance international academic cooperation and the qualification of high-level human resources.
Please find below the essential information regarding the application process:
Timeline: Applications are accepted from March 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
Method: The application form (available in Appendix 1 of the Call) and all required documentation must be sent via email to pr...@ppg.ufrn.br. The email subject line must be: Call Master Degree Foreign Student.
Completed Application Form.
Curriculum Vitae (registered via ResearchGate/ORCID) including the respective profile link.
Copy of a valid Passport.
Copy of the Undergraduate Diploma.
Letter of Recommendation from the institution where the undergraduate degree was obtained.
Research Proposal/Dissertation Project.
Duration: 24 months of full-time, exclusive dedication.
Language: The dissertation must be written in English. International students are also encouraged to attend Portuguese for Foreigners courses offered by the University during their first semester.
Selection Process: The evaluation consists of a document and curriculum review, an assessment of the dissertation project (focusing on originality and alignment with research lines), and a technical interview conducted via videoconference.
The program offers up to five additional vacancies specifically for international students.
The availability of scholarships is subject to the specific funding and budgetary conditions of the chosen graduate program.
