Dear all,

We are pleased to announce the release of our final podcast episode of the year. This episode explores green sickness, the so-called “disease of virgins.” We are joined by Úna Faller, a doctoral researcher whose work focuses on medical discourse surrounding women’s health and the female body in medical texts circulating in Europe between 1500 and 1699.

The episode is available here (with full transcript in French and in English): https://notcom.hypotheses.org/6657

You can also listen to our previous episodes:

"La science face à la controverse", with Samuel Lézé (ENS de Lyon/IHRIM)
"Une histoire de glande pinéale" with Delphine Antoine-Mahut (ENS de Lyon- IHRIM).
"Tests and trials in the 16th century", with Evan Ragland (University of Notre Dame)
“Sciences and the History of Philosophy”, with Dan Garber (Princeton University)
"Women in Philosophy" with Helena Taylor (University of Exeter)

Warm wishes,
Amélie Berger-Soraruff.
