Team members should be aware that this mission has multiple challenges
including:
1. Health threats from adverse environmental conditions
2. Safety threats from post-disaster hazards
3. Health threats from tropical and post-disaster diseases (members
must consult with their doctors)
4. Security threats including assault, theft and abduction
5. Psychological threats including post-traumatic stress,
disillusionment and depression
Conversely, this is a truly humane activity that could be a
transforming experience.
The UPAT Database page lists all participants in this effort.
We must also identify individuals who are willing to serve on the
first UPAT and standby teams.
Please note, this database will be retained for consideration for
future UPATs that are both emergency responses and general technical
assistance. For more information on UPATs, visit the www.isocarp.org
website.
Please use the “Reply to Author” button and email to me if you wish to
be part of the UPAT that VISITS THE SITE. I will forward all
candidates to the EXCO when the program is finalized.
