This bill signing and party is for HB 1098, legislation recently passed that improves transparency in Colorado rural electric cooperatives. A press release from IREA Voices is forthcoming.

IREA Voices members participated at all levels in the process to get this bill signed into law, and it is finally becoming a reality!  It is a great victory for all IREA members, and you can be sure that IREA's management is furious that they will now have to improve their policies to suit the demands of their member-owners (you can read all about their position in the latest Watts and Volts).
