Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The IUCN WCPA Young Professionals Network is calling for submissions to 'Reweaving a Living City: Global Initiatives for Reconnecting Human-Nature'.
Young people living in cities around the world are innovating responses to the increasing disconnect between urban citizens, living processes and nonhuman beings. They are bringing urbanites into nature, rewilding themselves and increasingly weaving nature into cityscapes in ways that harmonize human activities with the Earth.
We are seeking examples of initiatives carried out by young people (35 or under) which leverage urban protected areas in order to achieve reconnection among human communities and ecosystems, or work to reconnect city dwellers with nature. Selected entries will be showcased on a digital poster at the IUCN World Conservation Congress, to be held in Hawai'i, USA in September 2016. All entries meeting the criteria will be promoted through the IUCN Panorama Solutions initiative.

Submission deadline is 1 August, 2016.
