The price of trucking my Nonsuch 22 several hundred miles has, not surprisingly, discouraged a number of very interested parties.
One party has suggested cruising the boat from Chesapeake Bay MD to coastal NE. They have had very limited experience with another 22.
I would not want anyone to do something risky just to sell the boat so looking for opinions.
Check out the For Sale section for details on boat.
I have fitted it with a new 9,9 fuel injected outboard engine, new sail, replaced most blocks, assured running rigging is in good shape. Rudder, tiller, autopilot (1000 model) all in good condition.
It does not have built in GPS - I used Navionics on my phone for local sailing. It has a working depth meter and compass.
Life lines show rust. Coast Guard flares out of date. Needs new battery.
Has Airhead composting toilet. Most waterlines replaced and system chloroxed 2 years ago.
Running and steaming lights working.
As a previous Nonsuch 30 owner (sailed to Bahamas and back) I find the 22 to be much more sensitive to wind speed. Much over 10 knots, heel becomes excessive so it requires reefing early and often
Thanks in advance, Brooks Bridges
