Please help San Jose inner-city school children have school supplies this year!

Help a child have a great start in the new school year by supporting Santa Maria Urban Ministry’s (SMUM) annual school supply drive. The goal is to provide backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies and at least one item of new clothing to over 700 San Jose inner-city children. There are two ways that you can help,

1) provide a donation or

2) help stuff backpacks for the children

1) Suggested Donations

 

A check made out to SMUM with “School Supplies” written in the memo line. This is the best option because SMUM has made arrangements with local stores for discounts on clothing and other items.

backpacks

folders

calculators

spiral notebooks

lined paper

scissors

pens

erasers

pencils, 10-pack colored pencils

glue sticks

24-pack crayons

clothing – boys and girls for kindergarten through teen - basic items (e.g. pants, shirts, jackets, sweaters etc.)

Important: ABSOLUTELY NOblue or red supplies!!!!!!!
