Join us for Vesak Celebration - Tuesday, May 25

Vesak is the annual ritual celebrating the Buddha's birth, enlightenment and death. It is celebrated on the first full moon day in May, except in a leap year when the festival is held in June. In 2010, Vesak is on Friday, the 21st of May. Join us as we honor the Buddha and celebrate Vesak at our regular Tuesday night sit. The celebration will include an offering of flowers, which we encourage everyone to bring from their garden. You are invited to bring snacks, teas, dessert dishes, or other refreshments to share.

 

The evening's schedule will be as follows:

7:30—meditation
8:00—stretch & announcements
8:15—celebration/dhamma talk

9:00—social tea time
