Hello Everyone,
I meant to send this out sooner, my apologies for the delay. Thank you all for attending the meeting and/or your interest in being involved with collegiate cycling in Utah in the future.
As discussed at the meeting, we are looking for board members, a conference director, and a mountain bike season coordinator to help begin setting the long term vision and get the wheels going for race events in the fall. In addition we will be looking for people to step up and help lead teams both as students on campus as well as outside advisors and mentors.
Right now the plan is for a 4-5 race weekend MTB series in the fall, with two of those weekends being hosted in conjunction with the RMCCC in Colorado. We would use this to build into a full road season in the spring (5-6 weekends).
I have attached job descriptions for the conference director, and season coordinators. The board positions are a bit more fluid, but ideally we would look to fill those with specific skill sets (race directors, web designers, officials, student leaders, coaches, etc.). If you are interested in one of the positions or a board spot, please let me know. I have also attached the powerpoint from th meeting so that you can share with those around you.
From here on out I will try to send weekly updates and information bits out to everyone. In order to get these I encourage you join the IMCCC google group.
Finally, if you are currently involved in a Utah school (as an advisor, faculty, student leader, etc.) can you let me know? We are going to start getting this information up on the website and it would be great to have a single point of contact for each school.
