From Board Member MJ Turner:
I am very excited and thankful to have over 160 wanting individuals involved in making collegiate cycling happen in the intermountain conference for 2017! Even with so many individuals, we still need each of you to stay involved and help bring more people in.
On November 17th, we will have a community meeting at Westminster College from 7pm to 9pm. We will have limited space of 40 spots available in person, but are working on setting up conference call capabilities. Park under the soccer field off 1700 south, and we'll have signs to direct you to the room. Please email me at mtu...@westminstercollege.edu to RSVP.

Intermountain Collegiate Cycling Conference's current direction:
USA Cycling has created a board, which I am currently a part of. Our decision has been to focus towards solidifying the conference structure, create a mountain bike race series, and create resources for the school cycling clubs to develop sustainability. Once the 2017 mountain bike season is organized (4 races already tentatively scheduled) we'll likely work with existing race directors for cyclocross and road. The focus is on the MTB discipline to allow opportunities for high school athletes to transition out of NICA into another series setup in a similar manner. Those athletes will then be able to transition into the other disciplines of road and cyclocross.
Goals of this meeting:
1. Is our current direction agreed upon by the community. Share ideas on how we can serve these student-athletes in the best manner possible.
2. What roles can you take to help the schools and conference grow?
a. Spread the word of collegiate cycling in Utah
b. Encourage current collegiate students and incoming freshman to join their schools' cycling clubs.
c. Join a committee to help students learn how to work with their specific school. Separate committees for each school.
d. Volunteer in other manners
We need your help, I can't do this alone, USA Cycling can't do this alone, and the students can't do this alone. Let's all work together to KEEP KIDS ON BIKES!
