wonderful Victorian house (vintage 1894) in the Ocean View
neighborhood (near 4th Street) in Berkeley.

I have a tiny neighborhood sitting group that meets four days a week
(some in my house and some around the corner). We meet from 6:30 to
7:00 am three days and from 6:30 to 7:00 pm one day a week.

We have lived here since 1988. My husband and I live in the upstairs
unit and we rent out the lower unit. We share a large enclosed family
friendly yard with a vegetable garden, a deck, a hot tub and our Dawn
Redwood (a great climbing tree very much enjoyed by the kids next
door). We also share a laundry room which is next to the kitchen of
the lower unit.

The apartment has hardwood floors, two bedrooms, one bath, a friendly
country kitchen and a living room with wooden wainscoting. Off street
parking is available for one car. I am a writer/editor and work at
home and my husband commutes to SF every day. (The North Berkeley BART
is a ten minute walk or a few minutes by car and the commute bus to SF
is a few minutes walk. It's an easy drive, bus ride or bicycle ride to
the UC campus.) The apartment will be newly painted and the floors
newly polished. (A dog is VERY welcome if he/she gets along with our
friendly border collie. And so are kids) Available September 1st. Rent:
