Dear Mark,
Thank you for contacting Siren Audio Repair.  I would like to apologize for any confusion or frustration our product may have caused.  I hope to resolve your problems; however, I will need to know when your ILO MP3 player was purchased for it may be elgible for an in-warranty exchange.  If the player is out or warranty or you do not have the receipt or proof of purchase, I would suggest taking the player to a local electronic repair shop that does repairs on small electronics.  Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer repairs on out of warranty mp3 players.

Windows Media player 11 is not compatible with the ILO mp3 player.  The system requirements for the ILO mp3 player is for Windows Media player version 10 or version 9.  I would suggest not using Media player to transfer your songs in the future and recommend dragging and dropping the songs onto your player from your "My Music" folder.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please contact Siren Audio Support.
Regards-

Jason W

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
You should re-think how you make the buttons on the ILO 1G buttons. Somehow, (I am not sure how it happened but I keep my ILO stored in my shoulder bag) the buttons in my orange ILO got pushed in. I took the ilo apart and attempted to push in the buttons back into place. My upper volume button (it's a black square shaped device) popped off. I was able to push the power button back in place, but it still falls back and I have to apply pressure on the face of the shell to start/stop it.

2 questions: My player has been buggy and will only play WMA's, I have recently both reformatted my ILO and I have upgraded to Windows Media Player 11. Could my player be acting buggy because of reformatting it after the volume button broke off? Or....could it be because of the new WMP 11?

There is a lot I like about the ILO: it's style, size, functionality and versatility, but this being my 2nd one in a two year period, I find that it lacks in durability. I wish this were not the case as I think it has great potential to be what an ideal Mp3 player should be.

Thanks for listening and I hope to hear from you soon,

Mark Florence
