Update on Upcoming Meetings, Elections, and COVID-19

Hello Everyone,

I have an important update regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The updated CDC guidelines recommend that all gatherings of 50+ people be canceled or postponed for the next 8 weeks, so we will not be hosting an in-person meeting during that time. This also means that many of the group events we have been coordinating on and promoting have also been canceled, please check-in with any events you were planning to attend to see what their current status is.

We had planned to do IGDA Baltimore Board elections in April, but given the severity of the situation, and our wishes not to over-burden new officers with this unique and troubling set of circumstances, we have decided to postpone those elections for the time being.

However, the IGDA Baltimore is not planning to cease all activity during this time. I am working with the rest of the IGDA Baltimore Board to set up a digital meeting for late April. More details on that will be forthcoming.

My hopes and prayers are with you and our entire community as we handle these trying times together.
