to IGDA Baltimore
On Thursday (3/28) come one, come all to Baltimore's local board-game bar:
"No Land Beyond" ( https://www.nolandbaltimore.com )
in the station North area starting at 6pm
They'll be hosting our next Baltimore IGDA Meeting.

We'll talk about the upcoming April student showcase as well as learn about existing Science Video games from our local indie game developer and MICA Professor Dr. Melanie Stegman.

Brief from Dr. Mel:
What’s new and where are they going in the near future?  Science games are as old as games…. Tennis for Two was really a study on missile trajectories.  Anyone who owned an Intellevision likely played Micro Surgeon by Rick Levine.  What’s happening now a days in Science games?  Some games intended for school use, some that are having some success as games to played for fun – and that are reasonable accurate representations of the natural world. The Wandering Village and a game called Nano are two great examples of the direction science games are moving.  http://scienceGameCenter.org is where I keep track of the science and nature games.

Open to all, taking RSVPs at the FB event page:

Cheers.
