It is my understanding that the Bachmann Spectrum engine is modeled on
an IC Consolidation. I've head class 63.

Does anyone know whether it is true that the Bachmann Spectrum
Consolidation is indeed modeled on IC?

If so engine #s in that class so that I can possibly find photos and
or drawings. (Pointer to drawings and photos appreciated!)

Here are a couple of links that might help you out.

I have been told that the Bachmann 2-8-0, for all intents and purposes
is actually modeled after an IC engine. I bought one in N Scale and
plan to use it on my layout as numbered in the 900 series. So far the
engine has performed extremly well on the break-in track, (Bachrus
rollers) and if possible I might add another to the roster. I also
want to aquire a Bachmann 4-8-2 to dress up as a pre-Paducah Mountain.
Somewhere I have a list of engines that can be made into suitable IC
engines that a friend on another list gave me. I will look it up for
you and post it here. I believe that my friend listed the actual IC
engine that the Bachmann 2-8-0 is based on.
Until then

If you put a Vandy tender behind this engine you will have an IC
engine that would have been in the 940 to 993 series. Pretty nifty. I
wish Bachmann would do a Mike to go along with the Consolidation and
the Mountain that they have out. I could almost have a complete IC
steam roster then.
