to Illinois Central Railfans
Hi,
My name is Kathy. I go to auctions and by boxes of junk, sight unseen.
In one of these boxes
I came across a large Robbins Sterling Silver medallion given by the
Illinois Central railroad in
1951 to Ottis O. Albritton, vice president of purchasing and
stores.Does anyone have any information about the man, why he got the
award. On the front of the medallion it says
For 100 Years
1851 1951
Illinois Central
Main Line of Mid-America
On the Back is a mao of us showing where the railroad line was all
engraved.Underneath that it says
Ottis O. Albritton
Vice- President
Purchasing
And
Stores
There is another word to the right of Florida cant quite make it out,
I have bad eyes , but I think it says KILNYI, I dont think thats right
but its close
