Launch of Schoolzone's ICT advice group

The LA ICT advice group http://groups.google.com/group/ICTadvice is
launching next week - thankyou for signing up to it. You can use it
already by either logging on to the above and starting a discussion
(eg ask a question about a particular issue) or by emailing all
members via ICTa...@googlegroups.com. You can also sign up for an
RSS feed to get a regular update of what's going on in the group.

We are about to launch some research on what LAs are doing about
implementing aspects of Harnessing Technology and we've added a few
discussion threads to give you an idea of the kind of questions we'll
be asking. A full report, plus access to (permission-granted)
anonymised live data will be available to all members of this group.
A formal invitation will be sent to around 300 local authority ICT
advisers in the next couple of weeks, and we'll let group members know
how they can access researcgh data as it roles out from July 07.

I hope you'll find the group useful and we're always open to
suggestions for how we can help you.
