We have 8 entire males, 2 of whom are Rosmear Kourosh and Rosmear
Rakhshan.
Both of these horses have to be sold. We would like to sell them as
entire males as, in Fran's view, they are both good examples
physically and both have the very good temperament of all but one of
the Rosmear bred horses. If we cannot find new owners (or keepers - a
loan could be considered) then both will have to be gelded in the near
future as we have no more space for entire males and they are too
closely related to our mares for us to use for breeding.
Neither can be used for breeding registerable stock in France until
the breed is officially recognised.

Following the various recent discussions on bloodlines, databases et
al. in the Yahoo forum we feel it would be good for each of these
males to be used, even if gelded after only a couple of foals,
particularly Rakhshan (see below). They are not descended from any of
the 3 most used European stallions, Hopstone Shabdiz 60 foals,
Forstals Barewa 51 foals, Henden Zebedee 34 foals.

Pictures are uploaded separately under respective name.

Extracts from the related Yahoo group posts by Muriel Broer & Naomi
Thomas to which the above was attached;

MB: I see stallions with less used blood that never get mares and
other stallions with well represented lines that still produce a lot
of foals.

NT: Small studs tend to have a stallion of their own and just keep
using it. This has always happened and I don't know what we can do
about it. You cannot force mare owners to use the stallions with rare
lines, all you can do is try to educate them.

MB: I see stallions with very nice conformation and bloodlines that
are castrated because of nobody is interested in them.

NT: There is a limit to how many stallions a person can keep and we do
need good geldings out there competing with children to advertise the
breed.
