### Role Overview

As the Lead DBA Consultant, you will be the onsite cornerstone for our database operations. You will manage a hybrid-cloud environment (OCI & AWS), overseeing service stability, high availability, and performance for mission-critical ETRM systems. This role requires a blend of deep technical "hands-on" expertise and strategic leadership to manage both onsite and offshore teams.

### Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery: Ensure 24x7 availability and performance across Oracle Cloud (OCI), PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MS SQL, and Redshift.

  • Cloud Leadership: Lead architecture and operations within OCI (Autonomous DB, Data Guard) and AWS (RDS, S3).

  • Incident Management: Personally lead Severity 1 incident responses, ensuring high-quality Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and long-term preventive actions.

  • Optimization: Drive database performance tuning and Cloud Cost Optimization strategies to maximize ROI on OCI and AWS spend.

  • Team Management: Oversee and mentor onsite/offshore DBA and AppSupport teams; manage shift coverage and performance reviews.

  • Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary technical point of contact for business leaders, leading service reviews and proactive status updates.

### Technical Requirements

  • Cloud Platforms: Expert-level Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience (Compute, Storage, Networking, Autonomous DB). Strong AWS experience (RDS, EC2).

  • Database Systems: Mastery of Oracle RAC, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and MS SQL Server.

  • Domain Expertise: Must have functional/technical knowledge of ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) systems.

  • Storage & Infrastructure: Deep expertise in Linux environments and NetApp storage solutions (Backup/DR/HA).

  • Monitoring & Automation: High proficiency with Datadog and Nimsoft. Proven ability to drive automation and alert reduction.
