Experience the World! The 12th annual City of Irvine Global Village Festival will take place on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Bill Barber Park. Recognized as one of the best cultural festivals in Orange County, this daylong event features live entertainment, international cuisine, a kid’s village with crafts and activities, cultural and religious exhibits and an international marketplace. Intended to promote meaningful cross-cultural interactions, the Festival is a mosaic of food, music and dance performances representative of more than 50 cultures. Festival admission and parking are free. Food tasting tickets are available for purchase at the event with prices ranging from $1 to $3 for a sample-sized serving. Public parking is not available at the event site. Free event parking and shuttles available at Jamboree and Main parking structure and Woodbridge Community Park. For parking, shuttle and event information, call 949-724-6606 or visit irvinefestival.org.  Walk for Unity Join the Walk for Unity hosted by the Tiyya Foundation. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. near the Festival entrance by the San Juan Parking lot. Participants are requested to ride the shuttle from the Woodbridge Community Park. Please park at the satellite locations or ride your bike and take advantage of the free bike parking! The Irvine Global Village Festival is a smoke-free environment. Leashed dogs are permitted at the event. Information booths are located at the entrance adjacent to each shuttle stop and in the center of the park where the ball fields intersect. Food Tickets are $1 each; with tasting prices ranging from 1 to 3 tickets per item. Tickets are non-refundable. Cash, Checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover are accepted at designated ticket booth locations. Zero waste stations are available throughout the Festival to encourage recycling. During the two weekends in October, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Solar Village and houses. The XPO is a clean, renewable and efficient energy exposition , featuring visionary and innovative companies, products and educational opportunities.
