Homework3

Dear Classmates,

On next Thursday (4/23), we will have a midterm exam. The scope of the
exam is from Chapter 1 to Chapter 3 (up to the section that I may
teach on next Monday (4/20)).

To help you to prepare for the exam, Homework #3 is asssigned as
follows:

Homework 3A: M/C and T/F - 40 points (Due date: Please email to TA by
23:59, 4/22 - next Wed.) -

P.S. Although some sections of Chapter 3 are not covered yet, I think
you are smart enough to be able to figure out the answers.

Homework 3B: Review questions and problems -140 points ( I will
announce the due date after finishing Chapter 3.)

R4, R8, R12, R13, R15
P2, P3, P7, P9, P19, P25, P30, P34, P36

P.S. You are encouraged to do those questions and problems that are in
the scope of this midterm exam. There will be at least one midterm
exam questions coming from the above questions and problems with
slight modifications.

Homework 3C: Wireshark Lab - please visit the textbook website (I will
announce the due date after finishing Chapter 3.)

Exploring TCP - 35 points
Exploring UDP - 35 points

A team memebers of at most three is allowed.

P.S. You have to attach figures coming from running Wireshark to
support your answers. Otherwisde, 50% points will be deducted.)

Except Homework 3A, you have to turn in your homework to the class. If
you turn in your homework via email, 50% points will be deducted.
