calling ACEADDML remotely

Hi All,

I am working on a integration project to integrate the IBM POS to SAP. 

I have an issue where I need to call the ACEADDML program remotely after I place the EAMMAINT.DAT file.

I need some help with this as to how do we make the execute call.

You do not have to call it. Create an overlay to ACESCHDL.INI. Edit it to set the frequency to 1 and allow automatic ADDMI processing. The scheduler will look for a new EAMMAINT every minute and apply it if available.

Thanks Ben. 

that will work if we do not have more that 1 file hitting the POS in a min. 

but the way we have the integration working we can get more than 1 file in a min and will run into overwriting issue.

Calling aceaddml will not solve the overwriting issue. You can only have 1 eammaint file processing (first thing it does is rename it to eamminpr in progress). And 1 pending (eammaint)

This is correct. One of the benefits of using ADDMI is that you can bundle all of your changes into one EAMMAINT and send it to the POS.

 

If you are looking to do something more real time you may need to look at using DIF or some other messaging tool.
