Seemingly no one is aware that rules were improved:
update is on the Detailed Rules page, but nothing new on the front page.
I am out of town in June, maybe will have a better submission at the end of June.

howdoyoudo, ladies and gentlemen!
i've tested the submission on athlon 64 32...@2.0ghz socket 939, 2 768 mb of ram, 500 gb hdd, ubuntu 17.04 desktop and on core2duo e6...@2.33ghz lga775, 4.5gb of ram, 1tb hdd, ubuntu 17.04 desktop. both tries gave me "illegal instruction' message and quitted.both of elfs. may be the submission must run on sse4-aware processor? 45nm and smaller technology...so rules must notice that fact! or ???

howdoyodo, ladies and gentlemen! first of all, sorry for my english it's not my native language.  second, i've tested second submission of alex and gave the same result - 'illegal instruction' on athlon64 3200+ and core2duo e6550, so it's probably must run on sse4-aware cpu:-( and the third-> i've created custom 32bits elf executable on debian 8.x 3.xx.xx linux kernel packed with upx and it have not run on debian 9.x 4.xx.xx linux kernel but not packed with upx was running successful on both debians and kernels. elf was modified paq8hp12 source-based compiled executable. the conclusion is all linuxes are different and this fact is real!!!windows xp sp3  32bit is proprietary software and cost a lot of money for just playing in hutter prize's game for unknown result! that's why sky is unclear and royal air force's aircraft is staying in hangar waiting for good weather. sorry for a little poem:-) be healthy, wealthy and strong!

I tested on a Core i7 M620. Not surprised it fails on older hardware.
