We have an opportunity for a Web & App Design Lead to join our Austin, TX team. As a Lead UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for owning design responsibilities for key product areas as well as guiding other designers to build engaging and focused experiences across our web and app platforms. This highly visible role will have a significant impact on product evolution andorganizational development. We are looking for a player-coach who is comfortable doing hands-on design as well as mentoring and providing leadership to other designers.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Design Lead’s primary responsibility will be to drive User Experience from end-to-end, including immersion, ideation, conception, detailed design, prototyping and validation of hypothesis across digital solutions

• Collaborate with product managers, user researchers, stakeholders, and other designers to guide product vision and roadmap

• Build and lead a collaborative team culture

• Operate across projects balancing product vision and iterative, timely execution • Break down open-ended opportunities into actionable next steps

• Oversee quality and consistency across different product teams

• Manage product design team with clear expectations and help guide their careers

• Guide the design team to bring strategic product thinking based on user needs and business goals into design work. Continue to expand and refine our design system.

• Preparing proposals and estimates for the design and implementation of IT systems • Using corrective measures when the project planis off course?

• Helping managerial staff develop policies and guidelines • Synchronizing business needs with IT systems

• Testing software programs

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years' experience in design withat least 2 years in leadership roles

• 5-7 years of UX/UI experience in Digital Environment (E-commerce, Web apps, Mobile Apps) • 1-2 years of leading UX/UI design teams

• Apassion for creating engaging experiences and directly connecting our customers with great water experiences.

• Excellent leadership skills plus a capacity for continual learning and strong desire to grow a team and others around you

• Experience managing and developing design talent, including offshore teams • Experience in working and leading design team in Agile environment

• Understanding of interdependence between customer needs, business expectations and technical requirements and ability to drive a reasoned discussion on this subject
