Alright, good turn and great turnaround time.

As it stands, there's a possibility that my trip is cancelled; I'll know tomorrow and let you know. In any case, I'd like responses no later than Sunday so I can send the recap out no latern than Sunday night.

Questions, comments, and/or suggestions?

Game on!

REF: The night wolf only saw the hated dwarf taunting him. It tried to
bite through the shield to no avail, but its massive size and weight
was enough to leverage an opening. The dwarf grunted but gave ground
and the wolf took it. It bit deep and felt bones crunch under its
powerful jaws. Grakram's eyes were exorbitant; his face flushed with
emotion.

RPG: Aware of the pain as the wolf's teeth sank to his upper right leg
and ground against his thick bones, the dwarf was beyond caring. He's
pay the price of pain later, but for now, the blood singing in his
veins allowed him to ignore the wounds and concentrate on the fight.
The battle seemed to slow to a crawl around the dwarf as the battle-
dream inched closer, but still Grakram resisted, holding the rage at
bay. Pupils dilated, a savage grin twisting his lips, the dwarf began
chanting, his gravely voice repeating the words of a war-song like a
mantra.

Since the wolf had chosen to ground its teeth into his flesh, it could
hardly jump away or dodge well. His left hand smashed his shield into
the wolf's skull, once again more to startle and blind than to
actually harm. His right arm raised the gleaming axe high, ready to
bring it down on the night wolf's back in a murderous chop. Either the
wolf let go and backed away or they'd see how well fur stood up
against dwarf-forged mithril.

** If it hits...

The axe descended like a falling star and smashed into the wolf's
spine with an audible crack of bone and a spurt of arterial blood. The
wolf tried to howl its pain while still maintaining its death-grip on
Grakram's leg, resulting in a wet whining sound. Still ignoring his
pain and empowered by his success, the dwarf ripped his axe from the
wound and brought it down again and again on the wolf's back and
flank, fully intending to chop the creature in two.

** If it misses...

The wolf shook its head, its prodigious strength enough to cause
Grakram to stumble. Though still oblivious to the pain, the sudden
yank was more than enough to spoil his aim and the axe cut only air.
Practically frothing, the dwarf looked down at the black wolf worrying
his leg, death in his gaze. Raising his voice and his axe, he embraced
the dream and cast off all restraints.

TAG: Everyone interested...

NRPG: Nothing fancy, just attacking away. If the first strike misses,
I imagine Grakram's pissed off enough to enter rage himself. If it
hits, let's leave it for later. If the wolf dies (Well, one can
hope...), remember that Grakram will cleave into adjacent enemy.

The wild beast hacked frantically at its opponent.  Gone was the adroit calculated warrior who carefully chose the openings in his enemies defence.  All skill was forgotten, there was no ducking and weaving and trying to avoid blows.  It was just a frenzied race to kill before it was killed.

[Round one – still two weapon attack]
[HIT]
Through shear force of will Urokk's urutuks ripped though flesh and fur.  The dworg was drenched in the blood of his enemy but he was as aware of its warmth on his skin as he was of the sun's movement through the heavens.

[MISS]
Urokk paid the price of his lack of technique.  The worg easily dodged the hatchets that, although powerfully swung, were wild and wide of their intended target.

[Round two – two weapon attack if something is within a 5 foot step]
[If Worg no. 3 is dead (wishful thinking I know)]
Urokk stepped over the corpse of bloody matted fur at his feat, blindly striking out for the next opponent.

[HIT – if it is a new worg aim at the goblin first, they can be nasty little blighters]
The dworg was relentless in his fury.  His urutuks added fresh blood to his spattered body and new wounds to his adversary.

[MISS – with two weapon attack it is very unlikely he will miss twice.]
Urokk paid the price of his lack of technique.  The worg easily dodged the hatchets that, although powerfully swung, were wild and wide of their intended target.

[DM – Old]
The goblin squirmed as it tried to dislodge the bolt in its back. It
was finally out of the cursed weeds and knew what it had to do.
They'd found them. The night wolf's howling told it where to go—no
matter how much it wanted to stay. With a slow gait, the goblin urged
its mount on. It would go back west—but it'd be back. It'd be back
soon enough to stake its claim.

[Cita – New]
Cita chewed her bottom lip. It was clear that this group of shadow
spawn had attacked this band of travellers – such as they were, seldom
had Cita seen such a motley crew – and now this goblin rider was
trying to leave to get help. It also seemed that this was why Charl,
or whatever had possessed him, had brought her here.

Cita could see that there were two gnomes with the group and that one
of them had been seriously hurt. Her better judgement was overridden
by concern for the small gnome who reminded her so starkly of the
adopted family she had just left behind. She reasoned with herself.
It wasn't as though she had to step into the fight – the gruesome
orc-like creature and fearsome dwarf seemed to be doing an inordinate
amount of damage without her – all she had to do was to stop this pair
from bringing reinforcements.

Her moment of indecision over, Cita boldly stepped out from her
boulder as the goblin rider passed by.

"Hello!" she said brightly in her most friendly and winning tone. The
reaction was instant, both worg and rider turned towards her
incredulously, as though not sure how do deal with this new piece of
information. Charl, sensing what she was up to, threaded his way
through her legs, purring comfortingly.

Once she was sure she had their complete attention she began to recite
the droning words of a spell of hypnosis.

Balls of light appeared as she spoke, hovering lightly above her
fingertips. Flicking the orbs lightly from hand to hand faster and
faster, Cita spun them in an intricate pattern that almost defied the
mind to follow.

The goblin and worg eyed the glowing balls cautiously but were
mesmerised by the child-like creature's sudden appearance and her
strange chanting. The individual words were hard to follow, but the
tone was both commanding and soothing, lulling any listener's mind
until they no longer fought the spell.

Once the spell was released, Cita continued to talk in the calm but
firm voice, speaking this time in Black Tongue so that they would both
understand, "There's not reason to hurry off. Why don't you both just
stay here with me for a while?" At least she hoped that was what she
said, as her Black Tongue was not very good.

Cita knew she was taking quite a risk, if either of the pair were not
affected she could be in big trouble.

[Greta/new]

From the glimpses and sounds of the battle around her,
things did not appear to be going well for her allies.
And one of the worg riders had gotten away. This
battle needed to be ended and quickly. With a low
growl Greta thrust her spear at the goblin before her.

(Attack the goblin, Power Attack for 1)

(Hit)

The blow struck home and the goblin's blood poured
forth, staining the worg's fur. Greta prepared to
face the creature's axe and the worg's fangs.

(Miss)

The goblin ducked the thrust and Greta struck only
air. Greta recovered her balance and looked for
another chance to strike.

(Round 5)

In the storm of the battle Greta remained calm, the
eye of the storm. The Void was holding, but feelings
were beginning to drift in and out. The emotions
would flash like lightning before being devoured but
Greta had to focus. This was no time to fall to
pieces. A growl escaped her lips as she struck at her
enemy again.

(Attack the goblin, Power Attack for 1)

(Hit)

Greta felt a small flicker of amusement as she hit the
goblin, causing it to squeal in pain. Soon enough the
worg would taste steel.

(Miss)

Greta groaned in dismay and then flinched, the Void
fluttering inside her. Uneasiness was creeping in as
Greta eyed her foe warily.

(If Greta kills the goblin she'll cleave into the
worg)

(Brew/new)

Brew took a deep breath and moved forward a little so
he could see what was going on. He saw the whirl of
melee and again was thankful he wasn't trapped in that
maelstrom. The battle was not going well, Grakram and
Urokk were both injured and were likely going to need
assistance after the battle. And Ganwin was in dire
need of help. Grimacing, Brew muttered a few words
and pointed at the worg that menaced the Sarcosan. A
green orb appeared and flew at the worg.

(Brew casts Acid Arrow and fires it at the worg on
Ganwin)

(Hit)

The orb struck the worg and burned its flesh. Brew
hoped the worg didn't notice where the orb had come
from.

(Miss)

Shaking his head sadly, Brew thought about what else
he may do to try to help the Sarcosan.

(Round 6)

Still focused on helping Ganwin, Brew muttered a word
and pointed at the goblin attacking Ganwin. The goblin
felt his mind darken and cloud.

(Brew casts Daze on the goblin attacking Ganwin)

Then Brew moved back a bit into the shadows, hoping he
had evaded notice. He hoped the battle did not last
much longer.

Kruack/New

The wildlander raised his sword, Seeing the damage that had been inflicted on the night wolf and it still fought hard...it has to go down now..he thought as he swung his sword at the wolfs hind legs hoping to cut one off and cause enough pain for it to release grakram.

kruack then quickly turn with a 5 foot step towards worg 1 while raising his sword to stike the hind quarters of the worg

[Ganwin Round 5 - Activate Blur - 5 foot step to AH/11 - Attack W2,
combat expertise for 3 points to increase AC]
Ganwin gritted his teeth and attempted to will the bleeding to stop.
Things never seemed to work out as planned once the battle was joined.
The Sarcosan wasn't used to the wilderness, and was even less accustomed
to fighting enemies that knew he was there.
Concentrating on staying alive, the rogue began to blur his movements,
weaving his scythe before him in a defensive pattern and stepping to the
south, putting Greta at his side. He then lashed out at the menacing
worg in a desperate attempt to drive the thing back, if not kill it
outright.

HIT: The rogue's scythe found flesh once again, sending the worg yelping
at least for a few seconds. The Sarcosan's eyes flashed to the sides,
looking for the best position from which to continue breathing.

MISS: Sending his blade wide of the mark, Ganwin just hoped the attack
would be enough to keep the worg's own impending strike from landing.

[Ganwin round 6 - Attack W2, Combat expertise for 3 points, 5 foot step
to AH/12]
"C'mon you little bastard" Ganwin muttered to himself as he lashed out
at the worg and rider again. His strikes were careful and conservative,
more concerned with leaving no openings for retaliation than with
landing blows.

HIT: Despite his restraint, the rogue's blade drew blood. Ganwin
narrowed his eyes at the worg, wondering how the bloody creature still
managed to keep its feet.
MISS: Perhaps a little too conservative. A twitch from the goblin on the
worg's back was enough to make Ganwin stop his strike short in defense,
ruining the attack.

"Just a little further" he whispered as he stepped back again, forcing
the worg to move up beside Greta if it wished to continue it's assault
on him. He just hoped that she would be able to take care of her own
opponent quickly as his plan put her at greater risk with an enemy on
either flank.
