Hello all,
I hope this finds you all well and rested from the last time we spoke. I wanted to wish you all a happy summer, hope your 4th of July went well. We are doing well here in Denver Colorado. I wanted to give you all a little update on our life’s here in Colorado.
We are closing on our house tomorrow. July 21st 2005. Very happy about that. We will come out of our loan with a little bit of money, which is good these days. There are a lot of properties for sale here in Denver and the selling market is tough. But we came out of it ok.
As you know we have been applying around to various mission opportunities both nationwide and worldwide. I think we have finally settled on one. We will be working in El Salvador at a Christian School down there. http://www.harvesting.org/ That is the web site if you would like to know more. We are committing to a two-year term. The good thing is when the Honduras trip comes up this year and next year, we will be right next door.
We ask for your prayers as we start our fundraising campaigns. I’m not quite sure how much we will require, but the leader should be contacting me in the next few days to let me know. We are still getting a few things here wrapped up before departure. My wife and daughter both need passports and shots. And we will be selling most of our stuff as well. We are enrolling in Spanish courses and learning quickly. There are also translators on campus to learn from.
Please pray for us as we take on this new adventure in our lives. We can use all the prayers we can get. But so far so good, everything is turning out God’s way! We will be departing probably around October sometime, or after we have raised all the funds. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
