A year ago this October, Homo Hotel Happy began on the roof of the
Beacon Hotel with a mere 35 attendees and group members. Today, close
to 800 individuals receive the announcements and over 200 attend the
monthly events. Come celebrate Homo Hotel Happy Hour’s first birthday
at one of Washington, DC’s most distinguished luxury hotels, the
impeccable Madison Hotel. This time around, the event will have
several key enhancements.

First of all, this month's event will be on a Friday and have slightly
extended hours of 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

As a gift to HHHH’s loyal attendees, MIXTAPE’s talented DJs, Shea Van
Horn and Matt Bailer, will be providing their expertise in music
selection live from the Madison Hotel. MIXTAPE is a new monthly dance
party on the third Saturday of the month. Shea and Matt will be giving
you a preview of what to expect at their next event taking place the
following evening. Check out MIXTAPE’s page on Facebook and
website:http://www.mixtapedc.com.

Beginning this month, Homo Hotel Happy Hour will partner with a local
LGBT charity, cause, service organization or other LGBT community
group. HHHH will be working with the hotel bar to have a portion of
the drink special profits for that month to be contributed to the
selected LGBT partner.

October’s LGBT partner is the DC Young Film Supporters of Reel
Affirmations 18: The Nation’s LGBT Film Festival. The festival begins
Thursday night, with its opening film at the Lincoln Theater followed
by an opening party at Town Danceboutique. The Young Film Supporters
(branded Y.Fi.S.) of Reel Affirmations will be on hand to distribute
materials, hold ticket giveaways, and provide discounted ticket sales
for the festival. For more information about the festival visit:
