[Homo Hotel Happy Hour]

Back in November we held a very special election. I sent out a poll to
determine your favorite location for a Homo Hotel Happy Hour. The
results are in and Carlyle Suites has been chosen as the top candidate
for the best HHHH ever!

Also, if you haven't heard, it's kind of a big weekend to celebrate.
President-elect Barak Obama will be sworn into office as the 44th
president and the first African-American president of the United
States on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Come and begin your inauguration
celebrating with Homo Hotel Happy Hour at the Carlyle Suites on
Thursday, January 15, 2009.

I'm also pleased to announce that your favorite MIXTAPE DJs will be
returning and making this a very special Homo Hotel Happy Hour. The
brilliant DJs Shea Van Horn and Matt Bailer will be giving you a taste
of what to expect at their next event, just two days later on
Saturday, January 17 at a new larger venue, True Story Tavern. For

We will have at least two spaces with a total of three separate bars.
Our main space, the Patio Bar, is to the right of the lobby when you
enter the hotel. Here, there will be one full-service bar and one
satellite beer and wine cash bar. This is also where you will find the
MIXTAPE DJs. Twist restaurant, on the left side of the lobby, will
also be offering a full bar service.

This month's LGBT partner is Gays and Lesbians Opposing Violence
(GLOV). According to glovdc.org "The primary mission of Gays and
Lesbians Opposing Violence (GLOV) is to work to reduce violence
against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) individuals (and
those perceived as GLBT) through community outreach, education, and
monitoring cases to ensure that the rights and dignity of GLBT victims
are respected and protected. GLOV also seeks to assist victims of anti-
GLBT violence by advocating on their behalf, encouraging reporting,
and providing a community of support." A portion of the sales from the
