Meet and Greet

Would any of you like to meet at the park (maybe Percy Warner) to
brainstorm about class ideas for next fall? We will be in Nashville
for Easter and I could mmet that Saturday, but it might be better to
pick a different date. maybe a week day, mid-April. Please let me
know if you would like to meet and if so, what date is best for you.

Hi Mandi,

I'm Cathy, homeschooling my last two who are almost-12 and 10 (both girls.)
We are definitely up for a meet at Percy Warner. Working around the time
you'll be in town might be a bit of fun, as my DD's birthday is that week
and I'm not sure what celebrations we will be scheduling yet - but we'll do
our best to make it whenever you set the date/time.

I figure I'll take a lunch and find a spot with a playground.  Suggestions on location welcome:)  Of course if we schedule it for April 23 and it rains, it might be awhile before I could schedule a rain date.  If we plan for April 3rd and it rains, we could re-schedule for April 23.  Please let me know your preference off list.  I will post the winning date next week.

I planned on being at the Meet & Greet but our plans have changed. My
husband was promoted last week, effective immediately, and it has come
with a lot of extra hours & work. This weekend is his only weekend
off for the next 6-8 weeks so we are spending the day together as a
family & celebrating my son's birthday a little early. Hope to meet
you soon.

Well, the weather isn't looking too good.  Do you want to meet at Starbucks in Green Hills or just reschedule?  I could meet at the coffee shop without my children at 11:00.  Just let me know what works for you.

I have one child who had a fever yesterday and spent most of the day sleeping. She’s up and moving today - still running a fever but no other symptoms - so I have no idea what’s going on. Even though I’d LOVE to meet at Starbucks, I think it might be wise if I stay away from you all today.

 

If you meet, I’d love to hear about what you discuss! And if you reschedule, please let me know. We are so anxious to meet some more homeschooling families.

Well, the meet up did not happen Easter weekend due to the rain, but I did have the opportunity to meet a very nice Latin teacher.  It was great to speak with her and hear what she had to offer.  I will be in Nashville again this Wednesday and could meet around 2 pm at Elmington Park if anyone is interested.  Please email me off list with a contact number if you are able to meet.  I look forward to hearing from you.
