Looks like Google is getting cheap on us. Read the link above, they are discontinuing the pages and files sections of Google groups. If there is anything you want or need from the files section you should probably download a copy of it. They mention a Google Sites where we can store pictures and such but I haven’t read up on it. Many of you are on Facebook already. Should we make a Facebook group?

I will be making a copy of the files (if time allows) to keep for my records. It has lots of pictures and bloodlines, OFA and other scanned documents.

We sure have put a lot of stuff out there J and the information and camaraderie we have shared over the past couple of years has been great.

In my opinion it would be great if we could keep in touch with our dog tails, troubles and brags, pictures and news.

I’m open to ideas.

This has been so great and I know many read even if they don't partcipate all the time. I would have to loose the comarderie thats been established. So facebook or whatever else anybody can think  of. I know there are other groups atht this is goig to bother too.

I am a member of several Yahoo groups - they seem to work great and have all the features you've been using on Google.  I'm not sure what it takes to set up a Yahoo group.  Kevin would you mind looking into it?

I will try to look into it. I have an important certification exam next week, school has started and Sunday I’ll be up ay Brigand’s to help with the Belgian specialty groups herding event. I get a free instinct test for helping out, well Myka gets the test, not me.

Since Kevin is busy I decided to take a stab at setting up a group for us in Yahoo.  You could find it by looking for Holly's Pups or maybe this link will work:  http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/Hollys_Pups/

I tried to send an invite message to holly...@gogglegroups.com but that wasn't allowed. 

If we do move over to Yahoo, then the email we'd use there is  Holly...@yahoogroups.com

But each person would have to submit a request to be added to the group just like we initially had to do with Google.   I was already a member of some yahoo groups so this all seemed pretty straight forward.  

If we decide not to move over to Yahoo there isn't a problem.  I can simply delete this group.  But it is set up now for use and we can try it.  I think we could also move files/photos over to it without too much effort,
