ASCA Agility Trial at ARGUS this weekend

Hope everyone is doing well now that fall is most definitely here -
sadly!

Dexter and I (aka agility trial newbies) will be participating in the
ASCA trial this weekend at ARGUS. I understand the trial is full.
Should be fun and some good trial experience for me and my boy. We
look forward to visiting with any/all of you who will be there.

It was such a fun weekend at the ASCA trial. Great to see Diane,
Raenell, and Kathy and their Aussies!
Since we are so new at doing agility we learned so much this weekend
and what an awesome venue in which to participate. Fun runs, great
people and awesome accomplishments. This was our first ASCA trial and
we loved it and really look forward to doing more. Very fun and
relaxed group with amazing dogs and handlers running. Loved how
everyone was supportive and encouraging.
And we are so pleased to say that Dexter got his Novice Regular AND
Novice Jumpers titles!!! Yahoo!! I am so proud of my boy! We had so
much fun and learned so much! What more could we ask for?

Can you tell I'm smiling from ear to ear! :)

It was a fun weekend. Great to see everyone. The ASCA trials are nice
calm, easy going events. Sunny is starting to really relax at the
trials. She did wonderful this weekend. 15 runs over 3 days! She was
ready to go every time. We missed many Q's by one mistake. The good
stuff was great start line stays, hitting contacts although a few were
run through, wonderful fast weaves. She was not distracted by the
spectators. I have a few things on my to work on list.
She got her Novice Gamblers title and Novice Jumpers Outstanding title.
Oh, and FAST! Many of our mistakes where because I'm still not cueing
soon enough because she is sooooo fast and getting faster. In the
jumpers run she hit the one tunnel so fast and hard it moved a few
inches. Whoo Hoo!
I will do my best to keep up with this girl.

Congrats everyone!!! It's always fun to see how everyone is progressing through the different venues.

Hopefully Mia & I will get into more soon, it's been a "non-agility" busy summer!! We are entered in the USDAA trial on Saturday Oct. 9th. Is anyone else going to be there??

Skor and I will be joining you in the starters ring.  Usdaa has not been very high on my priority list.  Skor managed to get himself up to the Excellent Jumpers level in AKC this week-end.  The darn Standard Q's eluded me but hopefully I can get one at the November trial.  It will be good to see you.

That’s wonderful, looking forward to seeing you both!    Also, congrats on getting up to Excellent Jumpers, very exciting!!!

 

I totally understand about USDAA and honestly, the only reason I entered is because we haven’t trialed since April, so we needed to get out there again.  In addition, we didn’t get on a league team this year, which is really disappointing, because it would have been such a wonderful experience for Mia.  Oh well, there’s always next year!

 

Anyway, we’ll see you soon!
