Historic Hawaii Foundation invites you to attend the EXPERTS AT THE PALACE LECTURE SERIES TO EXPLORE HISTORY OF CHINESE IN HAWAI'I
The history and experiences of the Chinese in Hawai'i will be the theme of the annual Experts of the Palace lecture series, now in its 22nd year.
January 29: "China and the Pacific: Views from the Deck of a Junk" by Hans Van Tilburg, Historian, Office of Marine Sanctuaries, NOAA
The free weekly lecture is open to the public. It is held in the Old Archives Building on the grounds of 'Iolani Palace on Thursdays from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. from January 29 through March 5. Parking is available on the palace grounds.
The annual series is organized by the University of Hawai'i at Manōa's Historic Preservation Graduate Certificate Program and is co-sponsored by Historic Hawai'i Foundation and the Friends of 'Iolani Palace.
