We are seeking a R&D head in our start-up API and specialty
pharmaceutical company and be responsible for leading the
commercialization of technology as well as developing the long-term
technology strategy to focus on key revenue stream opportunities
The specific responsibilities of the VP R&D/CTO will include:
* Developing and managing a R&D team
* Leading the commercialization of technology
* Leading and developing the long-term strategy that focuses on key
revenue stream opportunities
* Aligning with and supporting business strategies with R&D strategies
and projects by providing a network of cross business common
practices
* Initiating and/or continuing specific R&D processes appropriate
under the shared services concept, which includes a review of
fundamental R&D disciplines
* Establishing an R&D culture of accountability and results
* Directing and leading the technology intellectual property strategy
* Implementing a strategy for third-party collaboration which includes
a make/buy collaborative decision process
The ideal R&D Head qualifications will include:
* A minimum of 10 years experience with 3 year+ in a US Fortune 500
R&D environment
* Willingness to relocate back to China
* Demonstrated success in linking R&D business needs with the
commercialization of technology
* Ability to speak "academics" as well as "business"
* Quality education - PhD preferred
* Have strong entrepreneurship
The Company will provide a compensation package to attract the
outstanding executive. Components will include a competitive base
salary, objective incentive opportunity, stock options, long-term
incentives.
